I’ve made some iTunes album art to go along with the Jason Webley show I recorded at the WOW Hall. Here are the .jpg files you can import into iTunes (Right Click -> Save Image As… then put it into the same directory as the .mp3 file). If you want to print it out to use as a CD booklet there is a PDF file that you can cut to fit inside a CD case.

It looks so cool in iTunes!

My Wilt

Wilt is my favorite character from the Cartoon Network series Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends. Based on the basketball star Wilt Chamberlain, he was created by a young boy who needed a friend to play basketball with. Wilt ended up losing one of his arms when he protected his creator during a very brutal schoolyard game. The boy went on to become a huge b-ball star in his own right.

I’ve been spending time working on my vector art and made my own version of Wilt in Adobe Illustrator.

I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to create ‘gold’ in Adobe Illustrator. I threw together a basic logo for this project called ‘The Adagio Dance Studio.’ My friend Tyson and I have been thinking about putting together a simple all-ages dance studio in Corvallis so that people don’t have to drive to Portland or Eugene just to get their swing fix. All we need now to get the project going is a space to lease, money to pay for rent, and to get people interested in coming. Well, at least I created the logo. Now I wonder what the exchange rate for Illustrator ‘gold’ is…

A Snapshot Of Today’s Work

Today has been vector art day in my design lab. I haven’t done much with vector art in a while so re-learning how to make curves was an event in itself. Nobody really knows how much work goes into a cartoon like Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends (which I understand uses Illustrator for the character design and Flash to animate the characters) but when I was working on making one corner ‘just right’ I appreciated all those cartoons I watched as a kid even more.

Update: For fun I decided to try drawing Bloo from Foster’s. I think I did pretty good, check it out!
