Based on the basketball star Wilt Chamberlain, he was created by a young boy who needed a friend to play basketball with. Wilt ended up losing one of his arms when he protected his creator during a very brutal schoolyard game. The boy went on to become a huge b-ball star in his own right.

I’ve been spending time working on my vector art and made my own version of Wilt in Adobe Illustrator.

I haven’t done much with vector art in a while so re-learning how to make curves was an event in itself. Nobody really knows how much work goes into a cartoon like Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends (which I understand uses Illustrator for the character design and Flash to animate the characters) but when I was working on making one corner ‘just right’ I appreciated all those cartoons I watched as a kid even more.
